Hey Wii Friends, You Can Get Netflix Too!

Today in my weekly gaming post for the Play Forum (click here to visit) I told readers with Wiis that they could now start streaming movies instantly to their TVs from Netflix. All you need is a Netflix account and a Wii to get in on the action. You will have to go to Netflix.com and sign up for a special disc first but that’s really easy so go do it! I’ve been using the Netflix for Xbox service for a while and just finished watching all five seasons of Weeds through it.

Take It Off!

Back in February, I posted several recaps of Toy Fair over on the Toy Guy blog. One item I didn’t mention was the Carmen Electra Stripper Pole (yes, for real). We were a bit stumped as to why this item was being shown at Toy Fair but there it was.

In other news, Jenni B breaks her life-long ban on owning a video game system and buys a Wii.

Super Happy Terrific Products – Wiimote Cufflinks

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again (right now in fact), I wish I had more occasions to wear cuff links to. Because if I did, I would be sporting these classy numbers. Of course, I can think of many better ways to spend the $150 the Wiimote cuff links cost, like a bunch of Wii games for example, but I still want them. They can be yours now for $150 from CuffLinks.com.

This Just In: Disney Announces Ultimate Band Video Game

Disney Interactive Studios announced that’s going to bring out it’s own version of the video game Rock Band, called Ultimate Band for the Nintendo Wii and DS later this year.

This new music experience game will allow players to build their own band or jam alone using the Wii Remote and DS stylus. According to Disney, the game will feature some of the biggest names in a variety of music genres including rock, alternative, pop, and emo.

As long as the music is good, this game should be a huge seller as it’s the first major music game that doesn’t require players to buy the additional expensive controllers.
