Transformers’ Devastator Definitely in The Sequel

So you know that Transformers post that I wrote back in September of 2008. You know, the one about a rumor that Devastator was going to be in the sequel, Revenge Of The Fallen? Well, today I can confirm that the rumor is correct.

Earlier this week at Toy Fair, I took a tour of Hasbro’s showroom and there, in the Transformers room, was non other than a prototype of Devastator himself. Here is what the Revenge of the Fallen Devastator looks like.

Ok, not exactly what the original animated one looked like but still pretty cool. It will be interesting to see what he looks like in the movie.

Here’s the original.

Super Happy Terrific Products: Tiny R/C R2-D2

This has to be the cutest remote control R2-D2 ever created. It’s the size of the Star Wars R2 action figure. Just think of all the possiblities of having R/C controlled action figures – you wouldn’t have to be bothered with any of that cumbersome playing again. Instead you can just sit back and watch your toys play with themselves. This R2 would have been great back when Seth and I were shooting a stop-action movie with our figures.

R/C R2 is available now at Think Geek for $30.

Transformers Movie Update: Devastator!

I’ve been keeping an eye on the rumor mill surrounding the Transformers movie sequel, Revenge Of The Fallen, and last week I stumbled across a very exciting nugget of information. If the rumors are to be believed, the Decepticon Devastator will be making an appearance in next summer’s explosion-laden flick.

In case you have forgotten, Devastator is the giant robot formed by the six Constructicons and by far, one of the most kick-ass Transformers of all time.

What Do Me, Molly Ringwald, And Abigail Breslin Have In Common?

… We were all on Live With Regis & Kelly yesterday. Ok, so only Molly Ringwald and Abigail Breslin were actually guests invited to sit down for an interview. My boss, the Toy Guy, was also a guest and he was there with a bucket full of cool outdoor water toys for the summer. If you were watching closely, which I’m sure you were, you saw me standing aloof in the background during one of the shots.

I know the question you are dyeing to ask me is where will I be appearing next. I’m currently working on a real scene stealer in which I jump up and down behind the local Albany “news” reporter on location at the site of a fire. If you aren’t lucky enough to live in the Albany, NY area, you can head on over to Hometown Hangover and catch my riveting performance as the unloveable Tramp in Bango. Just click hereand prepare to be blown away.
