There were a lot of things this past week that got my goat but rather than getting even, I’m getting Mean Spirited. Won’t you join me?

For the second week in a row and because the members of the NY senate are still not back to work. While these self-serving, lazy, SOBs waste another week squabling over who is in charge, Vermont’s Senate President Pro Tem Peter Shumlin, is making comments like the following with regards to the Justice Department’s stance on gay marriage:

“One thing I have learned dealing with marriage equality in Vermont is that we all have a responsibility to stand up for the civil rights of all Americans. This memo from the Justice Department is more Bush than Bush. It takes the only minority group left in America that national politicians can publicly discriminate against and still see their numbers go up in the polls and it reinforces the horrible stereotypes about our friends and neighbors.”

Well put Shumlin! Can you spare some time to do some senating here in New York?
