Last week, Gizmodo posted the following picture, which put to rest all the wild speculation (yes, for real) over where R2-D2 was in the latest Star Trek movie.
Worst cameo ever
George Lucas’s special effects company did the effects for Star Trek and intentionally placed R2 in the film. Over the summer, when the movie was in theaters, a FaceBook contest was held in which correctly spotting R2 could win you some props (movie items not a TV shotout) from Star Trek. The nerdnets went crazy with people posting R2 sightings.
