Passing The Savings On To You, BlackBerry Storm for $99!

Times are tuff but there are some things we still need to buy. I’m currently shopping around for a smart phone, which is why I was thrilled to find this little gem on Amazon.

BlackBerry Storm $99 at Amazon

It’s the BlackBerry Storm 9350, touchscreen phone for just $99! All you have to do do get this price, which is $400 less than the sticker price, is sign up for a new plan with Verizon. Click here for the Amazon page.

I’ve been biding my time until my current AT&T plan expired because I have no service in my new house in upstate NY. It’s been a little over a year without having a fully working cell phone but I’ll finally be able to ditch AT&T next month and make the switch to Verizon. I’m going to check out this Amazon deal and will let you know how it goes.

  1. Make sure you do your homework, Jeff! I’ve read a ton of negative articles on the Storm. It’s only first generation and there are some bugs that need to be worked out. I’m a Verizon customer and am also looking for a new phone. I’m considering letting my contract expire and jump ship to AT&T so I can get an iPhone. I’m sick of hearing how great they are. I WANT ONE. Now.

Unbearable – I’ve heard the negatives also. To be honest, I’m not a huge fan of typing on a touch screen but it seems to be the way everyone’s smart phones are going. I have the iPod Touch (with WiFi) and rarely type on the touch screen keyboard because it sort of sucks. That said, I love everything else about it and would get an iPhone if it weren’t for AT&T, which as I mentioned doesn’t work in upstate NY. I wish AT&T would spend a little less time and money making commercials bragging about their European coverage and focus more on providing coverage in the states.
